Love Notes: On Service + Feeling Good
I am grateful for my fairy godmother. She enjoyed one of our kirtans and the “deep” feelings it evoked so much that she invited me to rest and retreat, here in this cabin —
A wish fulfilled ~
I have been present with my favorite things: writing poems, singing, praying in the natural world and a room of my own,
I have romanced God within my own heart.
Memories of who Radha was in 2021 have re-emerged on this retreat. I feel *almost* as euphoric as I did sitting with maestro plants and fervent prayer. That bliss faded away, as I have prioritized humanitarian service > hedonism.
When you have a heart of gold and an iron will, it’s true:
Service does not always feel good —
It does good.
This New Moon in Taurus is an affair of the heart and will, asking us to reconsider how we feel and move through life:
How can “feeling good” be service?
How can service feel good?
